The California Fire Foundation has unveiled its latest venture to help families of firefighters who have died in the line-of-duty: The California Firefighters Endowment.

The 2010 California Firefighters Memorial Ceremony commemorated 31 individuals who paid the ultimate price to keep our state safe.

The 2009 California Firefighters Memorial Ceremony commemorated 82 individuals who paid the ultimate price to keep our state safe. The annual Memorial Ceremony honors firefighters who died in the line of duty, either from traumatic injuries in the field or from job-related causes.

The California Fire Foundation have produced public service announcements to urge senior citizens to be prepared to evacuate in the event of a disaster. The spots and accompanying campaign are available to all CPF affiliates.

Uniformed firefighters, family members and dignitaries from throughout California came together Saturday in remembrance of those who paid the ultimate price to protect the lives and property of Californians.

California Professional Firefighters works with your local union and the IAFF to improve the lives of front line firefighters and their families.
