Every year, people are killed and injured in collisions with emergency vehicles because they didn't pay attention to the lights and sirens. As part of an ongoing effort to promote the safety of firefighters and the communities they serve, California Professional Firefighters has prepared a series of video public service announcements.

In the fall of 2007, some 15,000 California firefighters gallantly battled a firestorm that, at the time, was considered one of the most devastating in a century. The images from this disaster still linger in our consciousness, as front line first responders put their lives on the line.
