- AB 2253 - Cancer Presumption
AB 2253 enacts the "William Dallas Jones Cancer Presumption Act of 2010," which seeks to eliminate the existing statute of limitations in favor of expanding it in a manner that more accurately reflects the risk to those types of job-related cancers that are contracted by firefighters and other public safety personnel.

- Chico FD Budget Cuts May Increase Response Times
Budget cuts at the Chico Fire Department are making it harder for firefighters to do their jobs. The loss of three firefighters and closure of an engine engine at Fire Station 1 in July means it takes longer for emergency response.
