Take Your Best Shot at CPF's 2008 Annual Photo Contest

Want to win some cool cash for those hot-shot fire line photos?

Then enter CPF's 2008 Photo Contest.

Whether you're a serious photographer or a weekend shutterbug, you can win up to $1,500 for your best shots of fires and firefighters. We're interested in shots both on the fire lines and behind the scenes ... at the fire station, at base camp, out in the community.

As it was last year, this year's theme is:

"Courage and Commitment on the Front Lines"

 

FIRST PRIZE:  $1,500

SECOND PRIZE:  $1,000

THIRD PRIZE:  $500

All winning entries will be published in the California Professional Firefighter and at www.cpf.org.


CONTEST RULES

  • Contest is open to all active/retired members of the California Professional Firefighters (CPF), California Fire Photographers Association (CFPA), professional photographer associations and all “fire buffs”.
  • Entries will be judged on originality, depiction of theme, technical quality, and artistic value.
  • Entries can be digital or photographic prints.   Please be sure to send the ORIGINAL PHOTO without altering or enhancing in any way. 
  • Digital photos must be 300 dpi.
  • Do NOT send a photocopy or laser print of your photo.
  • Each entry submitted must include: Full name, home address, home/daytime phone number, fire department and local union.
  • Entries will be returned only if a self-addressed stamped envelope with correct postage is included with them.  The CPF is not responsible if photos are damaged or lost.
  • PLEASE NOTE: By entering the contest, you are giving the CPF the exclusive right to use the materials for its publications, political material and other official purposes. A credit line will not be given.
  • The CPF has the right to reproduce any and all entries in its publications and other materials . 

The deadline for submitting photos is June 15th.
